Special Fund Raising effort for Tara Abbey in Nepal

As most of you are aware the funds I receive from the Saturday yoga classes and the Massage work I do goes to support 10 young women through the Himalayan Children's Fund at Tara Abbey and their educational and living expenses.  Tara Abbey is in need of some infrastructure improvements that require additional funding.  There are several events going on around Orange County to try and support this need.  To that end for the Week starting November 5th and through November 12th all classes will be donation based classes, as always the requested donation is $5, however all donation are welcome.  I try to keep most of my classes Free and a community service, but once in a while I make this kind of change, I hope you all will get out and support this effort.  If you are unable to attend class during this week and would still like to donate, please feel free to send me your donation, checks should be made out to the Himalayan Children’s Fund and mailed to me at: 775 Oak Street, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.

On Saturday November 12th there is a special event at the Home of Arlene Dorius in Newport Beach for the "2011 Bazaar on Behalf of Tara Abbey".  My efforts from the donations for the week of November 5th will be added to the funds from this Bazaar, all for Tara Abby.  All of you are invited and I hope you can join us at the Bazaar.  I have attached a flier for the event with all the details and directions.  During the Bazaar there will be a drawing for two special items, a White Tara Thanka and a Pearl Strand.  Tickets for the drawing are $20 each.  If you would like to purchase a ticket for the drawing I will have tickets with me at class.  There is a flier attached that gives more detail on the drawing and the items. There is no need to be present to win, I will be there and collect items that our group might win.

As we enter the Holiday season, I hope you will all join me at yoga and the support of Tara Abbey in Nepal, our support really does make a difference!
